Genesis 1:11 And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so.
Genesis 1:12 And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good. -
Solar System.jpg
Earth is positioned perfectly in our solar system to allow just the right amount of heat from the sun to sustain life. Closer to the sun and it would be too hot or further away and it would be too cold. God is magnificent! Genesis 1:14 And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and for years: 15. And let them be for lights in the firmament of heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so. 16. And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also. 17. And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth,

Milky Way Galaxy
This is our galaxy, the Milky Way Galaxy. You cannot even see our solar system in this picture because it is too small to see. To get an idea of how small we really are, you can take a quarter and place it on the ground and then zoom out till you see the entire North American continent. That is the size of our solar system compared to the Milky Way Galaxy. The Milky Way Galaxy is only 100,000 light-years in diameter. Even though we are so small, God is so loving he sent his only Son to die for us. Praise God! John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
-
Whirlpool Galaxy
The graceful, winding arms of the majestic Whirlpool galaxy appear like a grand spiral staircase sweeping through space. They are actually long lanes of stars and gas laced with dust. Located 31 million light-years away in the constellation Canes Venatici (the Hunting Dogs). Glory be to God! Psalms 19:1 The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handy-work.
-
Crab Nebula
God's art work in the universe! Psalms 89:5 And the heavens shall praise thy wonders, O Lord: ...
-
Helix Nebula
The Helix is a planetary nebula, the glowing gaseous envelope expelled by a dying, sun-like star. Kind of looks like God may be watching? I John 3:20 For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things.

Cluster of Stars in Omega Centauri
This is a panoramic view of a colorful assortment of 100,000 stars residing in the crowded core of a giant star cluster. The cluster lies about 16,000 light-years from Earth. There are to many stars in the universe to be able to even put a number to. A star is born every second and God knows every one by name! Psalms 147:4 He telleth the number of the stars; he calleth them all by their names.
-
Sombrero Galaxy
The Sombrero Galaxy lies at the southern edge of the rich Virgo cluster of galaxies and is one of the most massive objects in that group, equivalent to 800 billion suns. The galaxy is 50,000 light-years across and is located 28 million light-years from Earth. Is God all powerful? Isaiah 40:26 Lift up your eyes on high, and behold who hath created these things, that bringeth out their host by number: He calleth them all by names by the greatness of His might, for that He is strong in power; not one faileth.

Pleiades.jpg
The brilliant stars seen in this image are members of the popular open star cluster known as the Pleiades, or Seven Sisters. The distance to Pleiades is about 440 light-years. Even naked eye observers can see the Pleiades open star cluster in neighboring Taurus on a clear night. Job 38:31 Canst thou bind the sweet influences of Pleiades,... Amos 5:8 He who made the Pleiades and Orion.
-
Orion's Belt
Orion's belts is located approximately 800-1300 light years way from earth depending on which star you are referencing from. The belt consists of 3 stars. Job 9:9 He is the maker of the Bear and Orion. Job 38:31 ...or loose the bands of Orion? Amos 5:8 He who made the Pleiades and Orion.

Butterfly image from stellar demise in planetary nebula
This celestial object located within our Milky Way galaxy roughly 3,800 light-years away in the constellation of Scorpius looks like a delicate butterfly. But it is far from serene. What resemble dainty butterfly wings are actually roiling cauldrons of gas heated to nearly 20,000 degrees Celsius. The gas is tearing across space at more than 950,000 kilometers per hour — fast enough to travel from Earth to the Moon in 24 minutes! The star's surface temperature is estimated to be over 220,000 degrees Celsius, making it one of the hottest known stars in our galaxy. God's majesty displayed in the heavens! Psalms 102:25 Of old hast thou laid the foundation of the earth: and the heavens are the work of thy hands.

This object is actually a billowing tower of cold gas and dust rising from a stellar nursery called the Eagle Nebula. The soaring tower is 9.5 light-years or about 90 trillion kilometers high, about twice the distance from our Sun to the next nearest star. Stars in the Eagle Nebula are born in clouds of cold hydrogen gas that reside in chaotic neighborhoods. The tower may be a giant incubator for those newborn stars. Psalms 8:3 When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained; 4. What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him? 5. For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour.

The Red Spider Nebula
Huge waves are sculpted in this two-lobed nebula some 3000 light-years away in the constellation of Sagittarius. This warm planetary nebula harbors one of the hottest stars known and its powerful stellar winds generate waves 100 billion kilometers high. The waves are caused by supersonic shocks, formed when the local gas is compressed and heated in front of the rapidly expanding lobes. The atoms caught in the shock emit the spectacular radiation seen in this image. Is God all powerful? Acts 2:19 And I shall show wonders in the heaven above...

heic1007e.jpg
The NASA/ESA Hubble Space Telescope captured this billowing cloud of cold interstellar gas and dust rising from a tempestuous stellar nursery located in the Carina Nebula, 7500 light-years away in the southern constellation of Carina. This pillar of dust and gas serves as an incubator for new stars and is teeming with new star-forming activity. Job 26:13 By his spirit he hath garnished the heavens:.... I Chronicles 16:26 For all the gods of the people are idols: but the Lord made the heavens.

heic0406a.jpg
This view of nearly 10,000 galaxies is the deepest visible-light image of the cosmos. Called the Hubble Ultra Deep Field, this galaxy-studded view represents a "deep" core sample of the universe, cutting across billions of light-years. Jeremiah 10:12 He hath made the earth by his power, he hath established the world by his wisdom, and hath stretched out the heavens by his discretion.

Pinwheel Galaxy
The Pinwheel Galaxy resides 100 million light-years (30 Megaparsecs) from Earth. It is one of about 200 galaxies that make up the Eridanus group of galaxies. Speed of light is approximately 650 million miles/hour. It would take about 97,800,000 years for light from the Pinwheel Galaxy to reach Earth. Remember that the Milky Way Galaxy is only 100,000 light-years in diameter. Hundreds of galaxies can be seen in this picture. Makes you realize just how small we are and how grand God is! Job 22:12 Is not God in the height of heaven? and behold the height of the stars, how high they are!

Blue Galaxy
First direct view of an immense ring of dust which fuels a massive black hole at the heart of the Pinwheel galaxy (pictured above). Surprisingly, they found that the ring is standing almost perpendicularly to the relatively flat spiral galaxy, like a top spinning on its side with respect to the floor. Even more surprising is the discovery of a secondary ring or dust lane which is contrary to all expectations. Looks like God is telling us something? Colossians 1:20 And having made peace through the blood of His cross, by Him to reconcile all things unto himself; by Him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.
